Solange is dropping a new single on October 2nd entitled “Losing You”. I can’t wait! I was a huge fan of “Sol-Angel & The Hadley St. Dreams”, till this day I can play it on repeat. I would consider it one of the best albums made in the last five years.
Pharrell launches I AM OTHER
Pharrell has officially launched a new record label, and cultural movement called “I Am Other”. First up is an upcoming summer/fall release from American idol alum, and singer Leah Labelle.

One of my favorite American Idol contestants is finally making waves. Leah Labelle was my favorite contestant from Idol’s most talented season (season 11 is pretty close), SEASON 3. After a heavy stint of singing backup for people like Jordin Sparks, Keri Hilson, and Eric Benet, Leah is finally signed and putting out music of her own!
Leah is signed to a joint deal between L.A. Reid and EPIC RECORDS, Pharrell’s new label I AM OTHER, and Jermaine Dupri’s SO SO DEF. Pharrell and JD have signed on to produce and release Leah in a collaborative effort…

“SO HOT” is my Song of The Moment, it’s a classic Pharrell production that reminds me of a summer cookout! I love it, I’ma need a dope summer video visual for it.

Check out the viral video for JoJo’s single “In The Dark”, from her mixtape “Can’t Take That Away From Me”. JoJo let’s the world know that she’s a grown woman as she sheds her clothes, and the lights with this dark video.
I think it’s hot, and her mixtape is a great mixture of music. “In the Dark” is a really unique song, and it’s very unexpected from JoJo which makes it all the more better! JoJo’s third STUDIO album will be released early 2011.

JAZMINE SULLIVAN - HOLDING YOU DOWN (GOIN’ IN CIRCLES) MUSIC VIDEO
Check out the brand new Jazmine Sullivan video for her single “Holding You Down (Goin’ In Circles). The song is Jazmine’s first single for her upcoming album “Love Me Back”, which hites stores October 5th.
I’m a big big Jazmine Sullivan fan, I think she’s an unbelievable vocalist. The music Industry lacks alot of talent, but Jazmine is the epitome of talent. “Holding You Down”, has been on repeat on my Ipod for a minute now.
The video features cameos by Missy Elliott who produced the song, Kwamé, Pepa (from Salt-N-Pepa) and others!
Check out the brilliant cover of Janelle Monae’s debut album “The ArchAndroid”. I’m very excited for this album. Her single “Tight Rope” has been on repeat for awhile.
